The story is very fast-paced and the reader won't be able to put this book down until the very end, it also depicts 1890s New York City very well, a very entertaining atmospheric novel. Those who love the Sherlock Holmes stories will love this book, seeing quite a bit of Holmes & Watson in this duo. One of the best suspense thrillers of the 1990s.
